The objective of this study was to "To determine the factors predisposing to urinary tract infections in pregnant women treated at the Tarapoto II-2 Hospital MINSA, July - November 2015", a non-experimental observational study that responds to the quantitative, prospective paradigm. descriptive, whose sample was 130 pregnant women. The technique was the survey and as an instrument the questionnaire. The results, among the sociocultural factors predisposing to urinary tract infection are ignorance of the topic 69.2%, followed by economic dependence 47.7%, as a favorable element is the fact that most do not swim in pools or rivers frequently 58.5% and the condition of the socioeconomic level greater than 1000 soles as family income with 56.2%. Among the biological factors predisposing to urinary tract infection, there are precedents of a previous urinary tract infection 73.1%, vaginosis or vaginitis prior 70.8%, poor liquid intake 62.3%, as favorable elements the fact that most do not have gestational diabetes 83.8%, followed by non-use of spermicides 54.6%, and multiparity 58.5%. Among the sexual factors predisposing to urinary tract infection we have that most presents inappropriate use of underwear 66.2%, followed by multiple sexual partners 52.3% and the use of toilet soap 51.5%, as favorable elements have adequate personal hygiene and their couple and no douching with 50%. In conclusion, among the factors predisposing to urinary tract infection, sexual factors stand out with 44.2% and biological factors with 42.5%.
