The following research titled as "Risk factors for Apgar score low in the neonatology service of Tarapoto II-2 Hospital 2018, case-control study" aims to determine how risk factors influence the Apgar score low in the service of Neonatology of the Tarapoto II – 2 Hospital 2018, the registry of data that were consigned in the corresponding data collection sheets was used; the same ones that were transcribed to a database, and then processed using the statistical package IBM SPSS version 24.0, the investigation was descriptive with a quantitative approach, with retrospective data collection, the hiring of the hypothesis was performed using the Anova statistical a factor, working with a sample of 311 clinical records, where it was obtained as results that the risk factors with higher prevalence represent adolescent pregnancy, the type of birth, prematurity and low birth weight, the same that have been presented as length of the sample object of study, in addition when the adolescent pregnancy is between the ages of 15 - 16 years Apgar is only 0.9% low, similarly the type of delivery does not intervene in the variable, however when the weight is less than 1000 gr, the Apgar low level is only 9.4%, in the same way prematurity is also associated with the low Apgar, allowing to conclude that e maternal, obstetric and newborn risk factors influence the Apgar low birth, being the most influential prematurity and low birth weight, this because the Anova of a factor shows a significance less than 0.05, allowing the acceptance of the research hypothesis.
