The main objective of the present research was to evaluate the yield of the Plukenetia volubilis L. crop through the application of seaweed extract, in order to disseminate the results to all interested producers. The experiment was carried out in the property of Mr. Jorge Sexto Ruiz Sanchez, located in the district of Rumisapa, province of Lamas, San Martin region. The methodology employed was the application of 7 treatments in which three doses of seaweed extract were evaluated, applied through a drip irrigation system at two application frequencies (20 and 40 days respectively, taking into account the phenology of the crop), as follows: T1: 1.5 l/ha at 20 days application interval. T2: 2 l/ha at 20 days of application interval. T3: 2.5 l/ha at 20 days of application interval. T4: 1.5 l/ha at 40 days application interval. T5: 2 l/ha at 40 days application interval. T6: 2.5 l/ha at 40 days application interval. T0: control without any type of treatment. The methodology used was a Randomized Complete Block Design with 6 treatments plus a control in 3 replications for a total of 21 experimental units. For the interpretation of the results, the analysis of variance and Duncan's test at 5% for treatments were applied. The variables evaluated were: number of male flowers, number of female flowers, number of capsules, weight of capsules, number of seeds, weight of seeds, and yield per hectare. The results indicate that the best yields were obtained with the levels of A3 (2.5 l of seaweed extract.ha-1) and A1 (1.5 l of seaweed extract.ha-1) with 3886.77 and 3541. 88 kg/ha/year of capsules respectively and statistically equal to A2 (2.0 l of seaweed extract.ha-1) with 2872.29 kg/ha/year, which statistically surpassed the control, that reached an average of 724.37 kg/ha/year.
