The study entitled "Relationship between pre-eclampsia - Eclampsia and low birth weight in parturients attended at Hospital II-2 Tarapoto and Hospital II-1 Moyobamba, August - December 2016", a quantitative, correlational, comparative, retrospective study. The population was comprised of 111 and 57 women attended at Hospital II-2 Tarapoto and Hospital II-1 Moyobamba respectively. The technique was the documentary review and as a tool was used a datasheet of data collection. The results were: parturients are characterized by having 20 to 35 years, secondary, cohabiting, urban origin, which do not differ significantly in establishments. Obstetric characteristics: family history with hypertensive disease and hypertension in the previous pregnancy, diabetes mellitus, sufficient APN, multiparous, EG <37 weeks, adequate intergenic period, maternal weight gain of 8 to 12 kg. Finding only significant difference in APN p = 0.025 in establishments. The proportion of pre-eclampsia-eclampsia did not show any relevant differences, with severe pre-eclampsia prevailing with 78.4% and 75.4% for both establishments. Likewise, the proportion of Low Weight at Birth prevailing the lower of 2500g with 18.0% and 19.3% for Tarapoto and Moyobamba respectively. In conclusion: There is no significant relationship in preeclampsia - Eclampsia and Low Birth Weight, Hospital II-2 Tarapoto p = 0,102 and Hospital II-1 Moyobamba p = 0.445, when comparing there is no difference.
