The present work was carried out at II-2 TARAPOTO HOSPITAL, whose objective was to determine the clinical, epidemiological and associated risk factors for neonatal jaundice in the neonatology service of II-2 Tarapoto Hospital, from August period. 2016 to July 2017. For which an observational, descriptive and cross-sectional study, based on the review of the medical records was applied, working with a sample of 87 newborns who were treated in the Neonatal Service of Hospital II-2 TARAPOTO. For the collection of information, the patient's medical records were used, which meet the inclusion criteria. As a result, as the most frequent epidemiological characteristics were 52.9% of Male sex, 80.5% were RNT or greater than 37 weeks, 85.1%, with weight 2501 to 4000 grams, 89.7% were AEG, of which 52.87% were for Labor by Caesarean section. As factors of Mother, it was obtained that the greater frequency of Newborns with Neonatal Jaundice were from urban origin mothers in a 56.3% and 77.01% with 20 to 34 years old, 85% went to their NPCs. Regarding the clinical characteristics of neonates, 55.17% started jaundice after 24 hours and the most frequent final cause of Neonatal Jaundice was Incompatibility of Group 35.63% in the Neonatology Service of II-2 Tarapoto Hospital.
