The objective of this descriptive work was: To compile bibliographic information on the influence of the lunar phases on the cultivation of Sacha Inchi (Plukenetia volubilis L.) in the San Martín region. The study carried out was non-experimental, descriptive and exploratory. Reliable bibliographic sources and background from the last five years were used, as well as the experience of farmers and the undersigned, not published. The results obtained indicate that, on the New Moon, direct sowing of seeds is carried out, it rains more and there is greater germination. In the First Quarter it rains less, foliar fertilizers are applied, there is a greater presence of ants and crickets in the plantations. Full Moon, it also rains more, both in this phase and in the new moon, there may be variability in rainfall intensities and the activities carried out are the harvesting of fruits, drying and storing of seeds. Waning Quarter, it also rains less, pruning for training, production, maintenance, renewal and planting of seedlings is carried out. In 2022, 1,099.5 hectares of Sacha Inchi cultivation were registered in the San Martín region in production, with an average of 765.87 kg.ha-1, with the province of Lamas being the one with the largest planted area with 698 hectares and with a fluctuating price that varies between 11.00 to 13.30 Nuevos soles.
