Strategy "Traditional games" to develop spatial location in 5-year-old children of I.E.I. N° 292, Awajún-2020 Mastering spatial concepts is very important because it helps children to adapt to the three-dimensional environment in which they live and to see the many ways in which their culture is manifested through the use of space (Cabezas et al., 2016). We can also say that, traditional games are some of those that most help in the formation of spatial concepts in children. The problematic, observing that children had difficulties in expressing an age-appropriate understanding of spatial notions and of their own and others' location in relation to objects. As a result, it was proposed to verify that the "traditional games strategy" develops spatial location in 5 year old children of the Initial Educational Institution 292, Awajún-2020; which was developed in the province of Rioja; with an observation sheet duly evaluated with validity and reliability, the same that was applied during the months of October to November 2022; with pre-experimental, pre- and post-test design. Among its results, it was found that: the "traditional games strategy" was designed based on the scientific theory of Piaget, Vigotsky and Wallon; the application was through three processes of planning, execution and evaluation; in the pre-test they were at the beginning (2.0±0.3) and then in the post-test it rose to outstanding achievement (4.0±0.2). Concluding by means of the Student's t-test, that the application of the "traditional games strategy" worked methodologically in fifteen class sessions, has significantly developed the spatial location in five-year-old children of the Initial Educational Institution 292, Awajún-2020 (p-value=0.000<0.01).
