This investigative work aimed to compare the use of ICTs in the teaching and learning process in teachers from urban and rural areas, UGEL-SM 2022. A basic type of research was developed, which responds to a non-experimental design of a descriptive level. comparative. By means of a simple random probabilistic sampling, the selected sample was delimited by 70 teachers from the urban area and 70 teachers from the rural area at the Secondary Education level, whose data collection instrument was the questionnaire of questions with a Likert-type scale. The results were processed using the SPSS 27 Software; where through the statistical test "t" Student it was determined that the use of ICTs as a teaching and learning strategy according to the dimensions of teacher and student differ significantly in educational places in urban and rural areas (Sig.<0.05); while in the dimensions of content and environmental variables they do not present a considerable difference (Sig.<0.05). In this sense, it was concluded that, if there is a significant difference in the use of ICTs in the teaching and learning process in teachers from urban and rural areas, UGEL-SM 2022; given that a p-value less than 0.05 (Sig.=0.000) and a significant Z value that is in the rejection zone of the probabilistic decision (Zc=3.58 > Zt=1.66) was obtained. Likewise, a considerable difference was found in the means obtained from scores for teachers located in the urban zone (71,671) and rural zone (59,643).
