The present research entitled "Effectiveness of the corrective measures imposed by INDECOPI for consumer protection in the financial sector, San Martin Region 2017-2019", proposed as a general objective to determine the level of effectiveness of the corrective measures imposed by INDECOPI for consumer protection in the financial sector, San Martin Region 2017-2019. The research had a quantitative approach, was applied at a simple descriptive level and presented a non-experimental-transversal design; the population was made up of 50 resolutions concerning complaints filed by consumers of financial services at the Regional Office of Indecopi - San Martín, while the sample consisted of 30 resolutions, therefore non-probabilistic sampling by convenience was used. The observation was used as a technique and the observation guide was used as an instrument for data collection. It was concluded that the level of effectiveness of the corrective measures was high for the years 2017, 2018 and 2019 respectively since it is recognized that in 97% of the 30 cases analyzed through the files, the respondent has fully complied with the corrective measures interposed by the competent body. On the other hand, it is recognized that in 3% of the cases the corrective measure has not been duly executed.
