Architectural features of a research and interpretation center, to promote the sustainable development of the orchid, Moyobamba - 2021 This thesis includes studies and results that support the architectural proposal of the project under study. The problem was analyzed from the global level to the local level as a scenario of study, from which the question of how the first variable influences the second was born, and the strategies were directed in search of answers and results for the contribution to the solution of the problem. The path towards the meeting of results begins with the definition of the general objective that aims to determine the architectural characteristics that should be taken into account for an infrastructure of the magnitude of these facilities, to promote the sustainable development of the orchid, Moyobamba; the achievement of this implies a series of activities of the research which are specified in specific objectives to meet the various activities and architectural spaces necessary to promote the sustainable development of the orchids. The architectural criteria used in the design of the research project for the orchid were identified, the contextual and environmental criteria that were used for the correct location and placement of the research and interpretation center in the city were determined, and finally, the characteristics of the users of these facilities were identified. An applied study is presented with central themes to be developed oriented to the resolution of practical problems at a descriptive level in a non-experimental design. Field data collection instruments were applied, which were completed with documentary review and observation. The results obtained show that 82% of the population gives a favorable opinion and therefore approves the architectural project of the research and interpretation center for the sustainable development of the orchid. The project was designed with characteristics of tropical architecture, with semi-open spaces, enclosures with local materiality, formal design suitable for a good behavior to environmental factors, thereby achieving that from architecture one can contribute to the sustainable development of species such as the orchid.
