Happy cooperative strategies to develop socioemotional skills in 5-year-old children, Elementary Educational Institution 205 Rioja-2022. Learning social-emotional skills in young children is the basis for future success, not only for relating to others and to oneself, but also for academic, occupational and social success. Goleman (1995) defined it as "the ability to recognize the feelings of self and others" (p. 55). The general purpose of this study was to determine that happy cooperative strategies develop "socioemotional skills" in five-year-old children of the Elementary Educational Institution 205 Rioja, 2022. This study was carried out from May to June 2023. It was an applied research, with an explanatory level, a sample of 22 children, non-probabilistic by convenience, with a pre-experimental design with pretest and post-test measurements. Happy cooperative strategies were theoretically systematized, then 10 class sessions were constructed, followed by the elaboration of a checklist with 20 items with "never", "sometimes" and "always" answers, which was validated by expert judgment and was reliable by means of Cronbach's alpha. The results showed children with socioemotional skills on the "at beginning" scale (59.1%), with an average score (31.9±4.8) and a low degree of variation (15.2%). In contrast, after having applied the happy cooperative strategies, the children achieved scores on the "in expected achievement" scale (55.5±4.6), with a very low degree of variation (8.4%), obtaining a significant average difference of (23.6 ± 4.2). The conclusion was that the happy cooperative strategies through games, singing, brainstorming, riddles, tongue twisters and stories, promoted interaction and collaboration when applying ten class sessions, as well as the Wilcoxon test determined with a p-value of 0.000, less than five percent, that by applying the happy cooperative strategies, five year old children have significantly developed socioemotional skills in the Elementary Educational Institution 205 of Rioja, during the year 2023.
