Analysis of the concrete mechanical behavior with the addition of synthetic fibers (polyester) in the district of Tarapoto In this research a solution to the problem of concrete production in the district of Tarapoto, province and region of San Martin is proposed, a problem that arises due to the unfavorable conditions of the aggregates and the little consideration that the population has for the production of concrete. The alternative solution consists of adding synthetic fibers (polyester) to the concrete because this is a light, resistant and economical material that does not increase the cost excessively and its impact on the environment is minimal. For this reason, the objective is to analyze the mechanical behavior of concrete with the addition of synthetic fibers (polyester) in the district of Tarapoto, in its compressive strength, indirect tensile and flexural strength with the addition of 0%, 0.10%, 0.15% and 0.20% of percentage with respect to the fine aggregate. The different tests on the aggregates were performed at the laboratory of concrete technology of the National University of San Martin, the preparation of specimens and beams were based on the respective Peruvian Technical Standards. In addition, technical data sheets were used which allowed compiling all the necessary information to carry out the calculations. For the analysis of the results, a comparison was made between the standard concrete and the concrete with the addition of different percentages of synthetic fibers, furthermore, using the "IBM SPSS" software, statistical tests were performed which allowed to determine that the resistance increases or decreases depending on the percentage added.
