Commercial activities generate a large volume of wastewater, resulting from the service provided in restaurants. The presence of oils and grease is one of the most common factors in clogging and blockage of pipes, which is why this research aims to apply the hydraulic system composed of a grease trap and a vertical flow graywater home filter for the mitigation of physical and chemical pollutants in commercial wastewater (restaurants) of the city of Moyobamba. The design is 0.40 m wide by 0.80 m long and 0.50 m high, made of 0.50x1000x3000mm galvanized smooth sheet coated with silicone to avoid filtrations, and with 2" PVC pipes. It is concluded that the highest efficiency of the hydraulic grease trap system was at the fourth sampling with COD at 92.4% efficiency, then 70.16% efficiency in the treatment of BOD, followed by oils and fats with 89.8% efficiency and finally total suspended solids with 30.8%. Periodic maintenance is recommended at least every 30 days to avoid collapse and breakdown of the trap and overloading of the hydraulic system.
