The research was developed in the district of Soritor in which the construction of the trench method was carried out in the municipal dump. The main objective was to “Evaluate the trench method for the improvement of the final disposal of solid waste" in the municipal dump of the district of Soritor. The type of research is applied, because the trench method proposal seeks to solve immediately transforming the current conditions of the final disposal, with correlation research level because the trench method proposal seeks to verify the efficiency in the improvement of the final disposal and the non-experimental research design. Among the main instruments used to determine the efficiency of the improvement are: direct observation in the field to determine direct and indirect sources, the technical file, and the bibliographic file. All these instruments were important and essential to meet the proposed objectives. The research hypothesis indicated that, whether or not the trench method improves the final disposal, for which it was necessary to have real data about the per capita generation of solid waste and the population, taking into account that solid waste currently exceeds the capacity of the land that is available. The aim was to mitigate contamination due to the presence of vectors and to optimize the existing area.
