Psychological abuse represents a public health challenge, more than 1.6 million individuals worldwide lose their lives in an unfortunate way due to violence, being the leading cause of death in people aged 15 to 44 years; responsible for 7% of deaths in men and 14% in women. The purpose was to analyse the connection between emotional intelligence and levels of resilience in patients suffering psychological violence in Hospital II-2 Tarapoto, 2021. The research was conducted from May to December 2021. The study was fundamental in nature, with a non-experimental, quantitative, retrospective, descriptive-associative design. The group and the sample consisted of 60 patients who were victims of psychological violence in the psychology area of the II-2 Tarapoto Hospital. The measurement technique was the survey through two psychological tests both for the variable corresponding to emotional skills and for resilience. findings, the level of emotional intelligence of the victims of psychological violence was markedly very high reaching 93.3 %. According to their interpersonal dimension 60% represent very high; adaptability dimension 93.3 % represents average; stress management dimension 53.3 % represents very low; according to general mood dimension 80 % represents very low. In general, 73.3 % were in the intermediate range, followed by 20 % in the upper range and 6.7 % in the low range. The level of resilience according to dimensions was, 73.3 % placed in the Average level, followed by High 20 % and Low 6.7 %. There is a strong and relevant positive relationship between the intrapersonal (Rho = 0.632; p = 0.000) and general mood (Rho = 0.608; p = 0.000) aspects of the emotional intelligence component with resilience. While the adaptability dimension shows. In conclusion, a high and significant positive association is observed between the variables related to emotional management and resilience capacity in patients who have suffered psychological violence (Rho = 0.632; p = 0.000). There is a moderate positive correlation (Rho = 0.578; p = 0.026); and the interpersonal (Rho = 0.288; p = 0.000) and stress management (Rho = 0.263; p = 0.043) dimensions have a low positive correlation.
