In Peru, the poultry sector is positioning itself as the first source of animal protein at the national and regional level, and during the last two decades it has shown a considerable increase. Nevertheless, there are fundamental factors for the production of broiler chickens that require the identification of new feeds and technologies that allow the maximum use of the balanced feed supplied. In this sense, supplies such as whey are little used in the diet, even though they could provide a greater capacity to take advantage of the nutrients contained in the feed, allowing a better and more profitable chicken growth. The objective of this research was to determine the effect of the inclusion of whey and organic acid in broiler chicken feed on intestinal health and productive behavior during the growth and fattening stage (21 to 42 days). A total of 430 21-day-old broilers were used, which were distributed in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with a total of 5 treatments with 3 replicates, consisting in: T0 (Control-antibiotic), T1 (30 % whey), T2 (40 % whey), T3 (50 % whey) and T4 (Organic acid). For the productive variables, the results showed that T3 reported a higher final weight of 2679.8 g, higher weight gain (1728.4 g), better feed conversion ratio (1.75) and higher feed utilization efficiency (57.1 %). In terms of digestive parameters, the treatments prepared with whey showed a modification in gastrointestinal morphometry, since they obtained greater crypt depth, greater length and width of villi, as well as proportional allometric growth in relation to body weight CA= 1. Regarding intestinal health, the use of whey in the poultry diets decreased the number of Salmonella spp and Escherichia coli. Finally, it was determined that the treatments supplemented with whey were more useful and economically profitable than the other treatments with S/.291.91 and 32.70 %, respectively.
