The objective of this research work was to determine the relationship between the humanized care of the nursing professional and the satisfaction of hospitalized patients in the service of medicine of the Hospital II-2 MINSA Tarapoto July - December 2020. It is a basic study with a quantitative approach, non-experimental descriptive cross-sectional design, the sample consisted of 103 patients hospitalized in the service of medicine. Results: in the dimension: Patient's feelings, 54.4% (56) indicate that the nurse practitioner considers the patient's feelings in an optimal way, in the dimension of Characteristics of the nurse, 47.6% (49) of the levels of characteristics of the nurse practitioner are optimal, in the dimension of the Nurse's actions, 59. 2% (61) consider it to be an optimal level, in the dimension of Proactivity of the nurse practitioner, 41.7% (43) indicate that it is an optimal level, in the dimension of Emotional support for the patient, 58.3% (60) mention that it is an optimal level, in the dimension of Physical support for the patient, 55.3% (57) mention that it is an optimal level, in the dimension of Priority in being cared for by the nurse practitioner, 65.0% (67) mention that it is an optimal level. Finally, in the dimension Availability for care by the nurse practitioner, 56.3% (58) mentioned that it was at an optimal level. Regarding patient satisfaction; dimension: humane treatment, 57.3% (59) mention that humane treatment is of slightly high level, followed by 33.0% (34) are of slightly low level, finally 9.7% (10) are of high level. In the dimension of the Nurse's Resolving capacity, 63.1% (65) indicate that it is slightly high, followed by 23.3% (24) are slightly low, 12.6% (13) are high and finally 1.0% (01) are low. In conclusión, there is a statistically significant relationship between the humanized care provided by nurse practitioners and patient satisfaction, the nonparametric chi-square test was applied with a significance level of p < 0.016, showing that there is a relationship between both variables.
