This research determines the sanitary status of excreta disposal and elimination in village of Cordillera Andina; The population’s knowledge about sanitary health in excreta disposal and elimination was evaluated and sanitary measures were proposed for the adequate disposal and elimination of excreta as well as domestic waste water. Through the application of surveys, data sheets, collected in the field and sectorial information, it was determined that the health state of the disposal and elimination of excreta shows that 94.3% of homes have a latrine, 68.1 % of which are in bad condition; 32.9% are of the handmade type, 85% of the holes are in poor condition, 98% have bad ventilation tubes, 93% have weeds around them and 85% do not provide security and privacy. Regarding the population´s knowledge, it was possible to improve significantly the cognitive capacity, whose average of 10.35 passed to 14.85 with the intervention of workshops and trainings; with respect to the gray water, 97% has it in a superficial way and only 3% has it through a treatment system. The technological proposal consisted of a grease trap an soakaway connected by a network of pipes; in relation to the installed technology, 94% of the respondents the use that can be given to fecal waste and urine is not clear, 99% do not know the advantages and disadvantages of the technology and assume that there will be leachates, odors, vectors, among others; finally 46% expressed their dissatisfaction with the technology.
