Lifestyles and Urinary Tract Infection in pregnant women, Hospital Banda de Shilcayo - 2023 Habits and lifestyle become important in pregnant women, since they can influence several factors, which are biological, as well as psychological and, fundamentally, social. In addition, the presence of conditions such as urinary tract infections (UTI) at this stage is recurrent, since women are undergoing different functional, structural and physiological changes. For this reason, the purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between lifestyles and UTI in pregnant women attended at the Banda de Shilcayo Hospital, 2023. In terms of methodology, the type of study was focused on the basic, quantitative, correlational and non-experimental design, the technique was a survey and the instrument was a questionnaire, with 90 pregnant women with a laboratory diagnosis of UTI. The data were processed with the support of Microsoft Excel and SPSS v.27, and were analyzed by means of statistical tables. Results: The prevalence of UTI in pregnant women attended at the Banda de Shilcayo Hospital showed that 55.6% presented cystitis, 16.7% urethritis and 27.8% pyelonephritis. Most of the pregnant women had unhealthy lifestyles: 51.1% in eating habits, 58.9% in avoiding harmful substances, 52.2% in sleep and rest, and 58.9% in self-care and health. Lifestyles were moderately associated with the following dimensions of UTI: sleep and rest (v=0.401), consumption of harmful substances (v=0.393), self-care and health (v=0.389), eating habits (v=0.386) and recreation and free time management (v=0.279). The higher UTI in pregnant women, develop unhealthy lifestyles; while the lower UTI, develop poorly healthy lifestyles. Conclusion: There is a statistically significant relationship (p≤0.05) between lifestyles and urinary tract infection in pregnant women attended at Banda de Shilcayo Hospital, 2023.
