The present research is entitled "Effectiveness of the Dispute Resolution Board and its application in public work contracts of the GRSM, 2022", where the general objective was to determine the effectiveness of the Dispute Resolution Board (DRB) and its application in public work contracts of the Regional Government of San Martin (GRSM), in 2022. The specific objectives were to identify the dimensions of the DRB for the resolution of disputes arising in public works contracts and to examine the applicability of the DRB in the works contracts of the GRSM, year 2022. It was an applied research, with a quantitative approach, simple descriptive level, having as main instrument the survey applied to 20 specialists in state contracting among arbitrators, adjudicators with professional titles of lawyer or civil engineer (to apply it in the specific objective 1) and in some cases with both titles. Following that line and to reinforce the achievement of 19 contracts of work execution (to apply them in the specific objective 2), tendered by the GRSM in the year 2022, has been analyzed; all these contracts have budget amounts greater than S/. 5 million, where according to the current regulations of Law No. 30225, the DRB was applicable, in some cases on a mandatory basis and in others on an optional basis, depending on the budget amount established in the respective contract. As a result of the application of the documentary analysis guide, it was identified that 42% of the work contracts have budgets greater than S/ 20 million and 58% have budgets less than S/ 20 million up to S/ 5 million (in descending line), likewise, of the total number of contracts, it was verified that the DRB has been applied in 37% and the DRB was not applied in 63% of the cases. In all these contracts, the effectiveness of the DRB has been determined as follows: the DRB has been effective in 32%, in 0.00% the DRB has been ineffective and it is undetermined in 68% of the cases. The application of the test statistic (Spearman's correlation) yielded a significantly high correlation of 0.889, supported by a p-value of 0.000, which is less than 0.01 and indicates that the research hypothesis is accepted.
