Factors associated with ectopic pregnancy in patients attended at Hospital II-2 Tarapoto period, January 2019 - April 2023. Introduction: Ectopic pregnancy is a pathology whose incidence is increasing, and presents multiple complications including death. Objetive: To determine the epidemiological, gynecological-obstetric and personal factors associated with ectopic pregnancy in pregnant women attended at the Hospital II-2 Tarapoto in the period from January 2019 to April 2023. Materials and methods: Descriptive, cross-sectional (35 patients with ectopic pregnancy) Results: Isolated risk factors linked to ectopic pregnancy were identified to be of significant importance in the study, including smoking (ORc= 20.444; 95% CI 2.439-171.339; p< 0.005), pelvic inflammatory disease (ORc=14.889; 95% CI 3.899-56.852; p< 0.0000), history of previous ectopic pregnancy (ORc= 3.106; 95% CI 2. 155-21.347; p< 0.001) previous cesarean section (ORc=5.207; 95% CI 2.123 - 12.772; p< 0.000) alcoholic beverage intake (ORc=4.552; 95% CI 1.064 - 19.464; p< 0. 041), gestation in women older than 35 years of age (ORc= 3.576; 95% CI 1.406-9.096; p< 0.007) and the use of Intrauterine Device (IUD) (ORc= 3.106; 95% CI 1.143-8.440; p< 0.026). Conclusions: The elements that increase the risk of ectopic pregnancy in women attended at Hospital II-2 Tarapoto include smoking, having pelvic inflammatory disease, previous ectopic pregnancy, previous cesarean section, alcohol consumption, being pregnant older than 35 years and the use of Intrauterine Device.
