Objective: To determine the influence of sociocultural factors on the knowledge and care about ARIs and ADEs of the caregiver of children under 5 years old, Morales Health Center, period July - December 2021. Materials and methods: Quantitative study, descriptive correlational design, cross-sectional, since it allowed the measurement of the variables under study. Results: In the present study it is concluded that the sociocultural factors with respect to the caregivers are: 52.6% are between 18 and 29 years old, 50.5% are cohabitants, 51.0% are independent workers, 42.2% have completed higher education, 58.3% have 2 children, 70.3% profess the Catholic religion, 100% are Spanish native speakers, 94.3% come from the jungle, 85.9% go to the health center. Seventy-five percent of the children suffered from flu, cold, or cough twice this year, 59.4% of the children got sick with diarrhea this year, 47.9% of the children's caregivers gave them herbal tea. A 49.5% of the participants had a good level of knowledge about ARIs and ADEs, followed by 42.2% with a fair level of knowledge about ARIs and ADEs and finally 8.3% with a poor level of knowledge. A total of 77.1% presented adequate care, followed by 22.9% inadequate care of ARIs and ADEs. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between sociocultural factors and the level of knowledge about ARIs and ADEs in children under 5 years old who attend the Morales Health Center during the period July-December 2021, since a P value equal to 0.034 was found. Similarly, it can be seen that sociocultural factors are significantly related to care about ARIs and ADEs in children under 5 years old who attend the Morales Health Center during the period July - December 2021, since a P value equal to 0.039 was found.
