Virtual tools and their influence on the development of digital skills in teachers of the I.E No. 00616, Naranjillo. Nowadays, in the knowledge society and under the perspective of the digital era, virtual tools are a fundamental part of the teaching-learning process. Some of the most important tools for teachers in their pedagogical work are the various online programs that can be used, including social networks for educational purposes, forums and even the use or creation of blogs and wikis. These sites or materials make possible the creation of interactive environments that, thanks to Internet access, will allow access to a great diversity of resources or materials, as well as the participation in multiple activities under a moment of full and pure interaction that is attractive, motivating and, above all, collaborative and dynamic. Likewise, the development of digital skills and these in turn intertwined are essential for teachers due to the advancement of science and technology and its adaptation to the educational field. Teachers must be acquainted with digital tools and should know how and in which spaces they can use them during the development of their sessions in order to provide a more enriching way to learn in an increasingly digitized world; they must also have skills in the use of these digital instruments for classroom management and educational administration, such as the use of the various virtual tools and content management systems. The general objective of the research was "To determine the influence of virtual tools in the development of digital competencies among teachers at I.E Nº00616, Naranjillo". The research was carried out at I.E N°00616 "Carlos Manuel Jibaja Guevara" located in the town of Naranjillo, in the province of Rioja, department of San Martín. As a result, the virtual tools variable was at a regular level; in the formative information storage tools, the value was at a regular level with 45%; in the collaboration tool, the level was regular with 40%; in the communication tool, a high level of 40% was achieved; and finally, in terms of the content creation tools, the value was regular with 45%. Likewise, teachers have difficulties in creating, developing, integrating and reworking digital content, showing regular values of 45%; finally, in terms of problem solving, the value was regular at 32.5%, showing that there is still a lack of adequate technical training to identify technological needs and provide answers to them, through innovation using creative technology. It is concluded that the virtual tools influence the development of digital competencies by 22% with an average degree of positive strength whose valuation was 0.469, the significant result was 0.02 less than 0.05 whose criterion was necessary to accept the alternative hypothesis and reject the null hypothesis of the study. This result indicates that the virtual tools are associated in the same positive direction with the digital competencies.
