In determining the water quality of the Blue Lagoon in the Pucayacu Creek, Sauce District, Province of San Martin in 2016, as influenced by agricultural activity, four location points were monitored over a period of four months, where agricultural activity (rice sowing) exists along the route and the irrigation and leaching ofrice in the intermediate points have influenced the stated results, from a starting point before the activity to the mouth of the Blue Lagoon, taking into account the following parameters: temperature, pH, turbidity, total dissolved solids, nitrates, phosphates, disolved oxygen, biochemical oxygen demand (BODS), chemical oxygen demand (COD) and total coliforms; which were necessary to calculate their quality, by applying Brown's theory of assigned weights, finding the value equal to 59.98, falling within the classification of regular water, unsuitable for human consumption; also, the agrochemicals used were determined: Edonal, Bazuca, Cipermex, foliar fertilizer 20-20 and Urea. The relationship established between water quality and the use of agrochemicals has been proven to be fundamental and directly proportional to their use, since the parameters vary according to fertilizer use, concluding that agricultural activities, such as sowing and harvesting rice, have a negative intluence on surface water runoff, such as the Pucayacu strearn, which are expressed according to their parameters. Due to the alarming classification of the ravine, it is recommended to initiate a process of infarming and raising awareness ofthe nearby inhabitants, since it is not suitable far human consumption; it would need in any case a primary treatment befare its consumption.
