HABISOC workshop to improve the active listening of parents of the I.E. N° 00622-Porvenir, Rioja 2019 Active listening is a comprehensive process that people carry out to understand simple or complex situations, including interpretation; for this reason, its development through strategies and programs is essential; For this reason, the main objective of developing the HABISOC workshop is proposed to improve the active listening of parents of the educational institution No. 00622, El Porvenir de Rioja, 2019; and the specific ones are: Systematize the HABISOC workshop to improve the active listening of parents supported by the sociocultural theories of Vigosky and Goldstein, apply the HABISOC workshop to parents of the educational institution No. 00622, El Porvenir in the processes of preparation, execution and evaluation, and evaluating active listening in the parents in the dimensions of listening are interruptions, listening paying 100% attention, listening beyond words and listening encouraging the other to go deeper. The study was framed within the applied, pre-experimental quantitative research model, and the instrument was applied: Active listening survey to parents. The main results obtained show that the active listening without interruptions of the parents in the pre-test obtained 59.1% (13) in the low level, 36.4% (8) in regular and 4.5% (1) in high; while in the post test, 77.3% (17) reached a high level, followed by 22.7% (5) in regular; active listening paying 100% attention, in the pre-test they achieved 86.4% (19) at a low level, 9.1% (2) at a regular level and 4.5% (1) at a high level; while in the post test, 63.6% (14) achieved a high level, followed by 36.4% (8) in regular; active listening beyond words, in the pre-test they obtained 63.6% (14) at a regular level, 31.9% (7) at a low level and 4.5% (1) at a high level; while in the post test, 63.6% (14) achieved a high level, 31.9% (7) in regular, followed by 4.5% (1) in low; and active listening encouraging others to go deeper, in the pre-test they achieved 77.3% (17) at the regular level, 13.6% (3) at high and 9.1% (2) at low; while in the post test, 68.2% (15) achieved a high level, 22.7% (7) in regular, followed by 9.1% (2) in low. Therefore, it is concluded that the HABISOC workshop significantly improved the active listening of parents, since in the pre-test, 54.6% (12) obtained a low level, 40.9% (9) regular and 4.5% (1) tall; while in the post test, 95.5% (21) achieved a high level, followed by 4.5% (1) regular and in the Wilcoxon W test the p-value of 0.001 is less than 5%, this means that reject H0 and accept H1.
