This study sought to establish the relationship between the academic management system and the process of continuous improvement at the Ciro Alegria National University, 2021. The present study was quantitative, basic, non-experimental, descriptive - relational, cross-sectional. The population and sample were made up of 30 collaborators, between administrative workers and teachers of the National University of Ciro Alegria. The questionnaire was the data collection instrument. The study shows that the academic management system is efficient with 53.3%, regular with 30% and deficient with 13.3%. The continuous improvement process is efficient with 53.3%, regular with 33.3% and inefficient with 13.3%. In addition, there is a significant, positive relationship of considerable intensity of the methodology, evaluation and objectives dimensions with the process of continuous improvement, with correlation values equal to (0.861; 0.853 and 0.875) respectively. Which means that the three dimensions are influential in some way in the continuous improvement of the institution. It was concluded that there is a significant relationship between the academic management system and the continuous improvement process at the Ciro Alegria National University, 2021, finding (p = 0.000, Rho = 0.886; R2 = 0.904), which means that the academic management influences 90.4% in the process of continuous improvement of the university institution.
