This research focuses on the geometric and structural design of a flexible pavement for the alternate route in the district of Castilla - Piura, which has a length of 8,412 km, currently operates as an unpaved route which presents numerous problems for users due to the poor condition of its surface, as well as the pollution that is seen when using the route, finding piles of garbage, debris, etc. The objective of this thesis is to provide a safe, efficient and reliable infrastructure which will improve accessibility by reducing travel times and improving the quality of life of local people. A methodological framework was developed that includes traffic stadium, soil mechanics study and topographic survey, applying standards such as DG 2018, Road Manual, Soils and Pavements Section, which will guarantee us to carry out a good design using Civil 3D software. Socially, this project provides significant improvements, enhancing the quality of life of residents in the surrounding area. By improving the road, travel times will be reduced, allowing them to travel to their workplace, school, or health center in a faster and safer way
