This thesis project aimed to design the structure of the flexible pavement incorporating biaxial geogrid to improve trafficability on the Virú Avenue - La Libertad. To do this, a surface study of the unpaved road was made, a topographic survey of the ground surface of the avenue, the AASHTO 93 method was used for the design of the pavement structure, which requires important data or parameters for the design such as: ESAL and CBR. For the design of the pavement incorporating biaxial geogrid, the GeoSoft V 4.0 software from the PAVCO company was used and manual calculations were also made to compare and verify the results obtained during the process. By incorporating the geogrid to the pavement structure, it is reduced by 5 cm, likewise a comparison was made of the budget of the flexible pavement and the pavement incorporating biaxial geogrid, obtaining a saving of 0.56% which is not significant for the project.
