Introduction: In our country, in 2021, a COVID-19 incidence of 23.57 cases per 1,000 inhabitants and a mortality rate of 601.6 deaths per million individuals were recorded. The lowest levels of hospital beds in the intensive care unit (ICU) and mechanical ventilators in Latin America were observed, with numerous complications arising during the same stay in the ICU or during long periods of endotracheal intubation. The incidence in the country was between 6 and 21%. Objective: To determine the factors associated with laryngotracheal stenosis after intubation in COVID-19 patients at the Cusco Regional Hospital, 2021-2023. Materials and methods: An observational, analytical and retrospective study was carried out, using a case-control design by reviewing the medical records of the Cusco Regional Hospital during the years 2021 to 2023, with a sample of 58 patients, 29 cases and 29 controls. Results: In the factors associated with the disease, clinical factors were found to be associated with diabetes mellitus with p = 0.018 (OR = 3.636, [95% CI: 1.226 - 10.783]) being a risk factor for laryngotracheal stenosis and obesity with p = 0.036 (OR = 3.109, [95% CI: 1.064 - 9.081]), for associated structural factors the variable was days of intubation with p = 0.019 (OR = 6.075, [95% CI: 1.181 - 31.244]), being considered as risk factors for laryngotracheal stenosis. Conclusions: Factors associated with laryngotracheal stenosis after intubation in COVID – 19 patients at the Cusco Regional Hospital, 2021 – 2023 were diabetes mellitus, obesity, and days of intubation (en_US)
