The general objective is to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and attitude about the HPV vaccine in adolescents from 3rd to 5th grade of secondary school at IE 5171 Tupac Amaru II - Puente Piedra - 2023. The lack of knowledge about HPV and its relationship with people's attitudes towards vaccines is key to reducing the incidence and mortality of cervical cancer. But public apathy toward vaccination is causing problems for health systems that, despite their best efforts, are unable to flatten the mortality curve from this potentially preventable cancer. METHODOLOGY: The research is presented on a quantitative approach, at a correlational level, on a non-experimental, cross-sectional design. This study has considered working with 163 adolescents from 3rd to 5th grade of secondary school. Two instruments will be used to collect data. The first will be a questionnaire with 15 questions and the second with 16 items. RESULTS: 17.20% have high knowledge and a favorable attitude about the HPV vaccine, 23.85% have medium knowledge and a favorable attitude, 11.65% have low knowledge and a favorable attitude, in change, 10.40% have an unfavorable attitude and high knowledge, 18.45% have average knowledge and an unfavorable attitude, and 18.45% have low knowledge and an unfavorable attitude, about the HPV vaccine in 3rd-grade adolescents. to the 5th grade of secondary school. Finally, a 0.528 is obtained, being greater than 0.05, indicating that both knowledge variables, such as attitudes, do not have a significant relationship, accepting the null hypothesis and rejecting the real hypothesis. CONCLUSION: in the adolescents of IE 5171 Túpac Amaru II - Puente Piedra - 2023, medium knowledge with favorable attitudes predominates, being 23.85%, continuing with high knowledge with favorable attitudes at 17.20%.
