The present work of professional proficiency covers the automation of processes through the implementation of a Transfer System using a Modicon 221 PLC for the start-up of 2 Submersible Pumps by Altivar ATV630 Frequency Drives in Camposol Gloria 7A Farm. The proposed solution consists of implementing the Transfer Board together with the PLC with the objective of automating its distribution and control system, and optimizing its starting system for its pumps using VDF’s. The project begins with the identification of the need to improve its electrical system and start-up of its pumping system. A project plan was developed using the PMBOK guide, which was included from the publication of the call to completion with field user testing and project compliance. The program developed in the PLC allows the user in their electrical system to make the automatic change of energy supplied by their commercial energy and generating sets, as well as to make use of frequency converters for their pumping system. The project demonstrates that the integration of electrical, electronic, control and communication parts allows obtaining great results while safeguarding the useful life of the client's equipment. The operational and user personnel in the area were provided with the relevant training regarding the program carried out, the configuration of the frequency converters; ensuring correct equipment operating practices. Finally, the implementation of other technologies in process control is recommended, highlighting the importance of defining needs before providing innovative solutions.
