In this thesis, the environmental impacts produced during the fishmeal and fish oil activities of the company Pesquera Pelayo SAC were evaluated; that allowed to identify negative and positive impacts; to then prevent and apply mitigation measures in order to improve environmental quality within the company’s area of influence and in turn comply with national environmental regulations. The research compared the results of the monitoring of effluents and discharged emissions, air quality, soil quality and comparing them with the values required in the peruvian environmental regulations, either maximum permissible limits (MPL) or standards of environmental quality (SEQ); as well as evaluating the dilution of the effluents in the receiving body using the CORMIX modeling software and reviewing the environmental plans applied. With the evaluation of environmental impacts it can be concluded that the company does not generate severe negative environmental impacts in its operations; generating at the same time positive impacts for society such as the creation of jobs, either direct or indirect, due to the dynamism of the local economy; likewise, with the results of the monitoring obtained, it can be concluded that the company has been applying the necessary preventive actions to minimize the impacts generated during its operation.
