ABSTRACT The general objective of this thesis work is to develop a drip irrigation proposal adaptable to the management of 306.38 hectares of piquillo pepper (Capsicum annuum) and Hass avocado (Persea americana 'Hass'). For which the agronomic design planning was carried out for the two types of crops. Observing that the avocado crop has a higher water requirement, with an irrigation capacity of 2.22 mm / hr. The sizing of hydraulic networks, pumping equipment, filtering, manifolds, valves and fertilization equipment were made for the cultivation of higher consumption. Based on manufacturer's technical data sheets. As the project is a large area for carrying out the hydraulic calculations and for the ease of carrying out the measurements, it was decided to use the Irricad design software. With the agronomic data, the daily water consumption to supply the project was determined and the useful storage volume of the reservoir for five days (85,170.00 m3) was determined. For any contingency event that may arise, at this point it is recommended that in the process of execution and location of the reservoir, a soil analysis study can be carried out and the dimensions can be validated. Finally, the budget for the drip irrigation system adaptable to pepper and avocado crops was obtained. Having a cost of US $ 2, 176,352.01, that is, a cost / ha of US $ 7,665.91. In this amount, it was considered that at the beginning of the project the planting of peppers should be carried out and, in the future, to be able to change from cultivation to avocado. In this way, only the irrigation emitter would need to be changed, with a cost for the entire area of US $ 582,171.31.
