ABSTRACT In Santiago de Chuco, La Libertad at 2 868 masl, an experiment was installed to evaluate the effect of the trellis on the green yield of Pisum sativum L. "Criolla Verde" on an average fertility acid soil in a randomized complete block design (DBCA) with four repetitions and three treatments formed by two systems of trellising, in mesh or tie and in espalier, plus a witness without entutorado. Plant height, number of pods per plant, pod length, number of pods per pod and green yield were evaluated. The obtained data were subjected to an analysis of variance using the F test to evaluate the effect of the treatments and the Tukey test to 5% to establish the differences between treatments. It was found that with entanglement trellising, the highest green yield of 17.14 t.ha-1 in Pisum sativum L. was statistically obtained, in relation to the trellis trellis of 9.51 t.ha-1 and the non-trellised control of 3.92 t .ha-1; In addition, with the entutorado in enmallado one obtains the greater length of pod of 7.78 cm, and the greater number of grains by pod of 6.06 grains, in relation with the witness without entutorado that reaches 6.61 cm and 5.00 grains, respectively, and that the trellising treatments do not affect the height of the plant or the number of pods per plant.
