The present investigation called archaeological-tourism management and its influence on the socioeconomic development and identity of the coastal inhabitants of the La Libertad region discloses the results that have been obtained in the last three decades of the management of archaeological programs on the coast. north of Peru, in charge of archaeologists, under the auspices of public and private institutions based on a new approach to the development of archeology linked to tourism on the coast of the La Libertad Region. The archaeological sites chosen for this research are Huacas del Sol y La Luna and Chan Chan in the Moche Valley and the El Brujo Archaeological Complex in the Chicama Valley. Each archaeological program meets the conditions of being academic, interdisciplinary, conservationist, and a contribution to archaeological tourism. It realizes how directly and indirectly these efforts have influenced the socioeconomic development of the communities and strengthened the identities of the inhabitants who live adjacent to the monuments that are part of the so-called Moche Route. The methods used for this research are: Descriptive, ethnographic, analytical, synthetic and historical. Likewise, the techniques of observation, survey and interview were used.
