ABSTRACT The objective of this report is to determine the level of adherence to antihypertensive treatment in outpatient patients of a Level III Hospital, September 2019-March 2020. The sample consisted of 63 patients, older than 18 years with antihypertensive treatment greater or equal After 1 month of outpatient treatment for blood pressure control or any consultation associated with it, the data of interest were collected to determine adherence to drug treatment using the Morisky-Green-Levine Test. The data processing and analysis was carried out using Microsoft Excel 2016 software. Of the total of surveys (63), 61.90% belong to the female sex, 57.14% are older than 60 years, 29% have hypercholesterolemia, 19% diabetes mellitus II, 46.09% take the antihypertensive pharmacological group Angiotensin Converting Enzyme Inhibitors to control arterial hypertension. Concluding that 25.4%, 39.7% and 34.9% of the patients present low, medium and high adherence to antihypertensive treatment, respectively, when applying the Morisky-Green-Levine test.
