The work was carried out in an artisanal plant in Pucara to treat acidic water, segregated by the bocamina in the District of Goyllarisquizga, Province of Daniel Alcides Carrión Region of Cerro de Pasco. As a result, after the treatment of mining acid water, a sludge is generated, which is the product of the use of chemical reagents due to the presence of heavy metals and impurities in the water. The objective of this project was the minimization of the chemical inputs and sludge generated, for which the reuse of the sludge was carried out at the beginning of the process as part of the reagent. A pumping was carried out from the sludge filtration pools, at the beginning of the treatment (neutralization), which accompanies the lime reagent. A decrease in the volume of sludge and the consumption of chemical inputs (lime and flocculant) was obtained. In a percentage of: lime of 1.67 %, flocculant 2.89%, both generating an annual saving of 6307.20 soles and a reduction of sludge by 478.15 mᵌ per year.
