The purpose of this research was to design and implement a web system to monitor the work flow of theses in the Professional School of Industrial Engineering of the National University of Trujillo applying the XP methodology (Extreme Programming). An applied pre-experimental design was used for the elaboration of the web application, which was validated by the users through surveys after its functional implementation. In the development stage, the relational model of the database and the programming of the stored procedures associated with the database were designed at the level of the MySql WorkBench manager; while the CodeIgniter 3.0 framework was used for the programming of the application. Finally, for the validation of the software, surveys applied to potential users were used, which obtained acceptance at the interface level of 81%, acceptance at the usability level of 77, acceptance at the response speed level of 66%, acceptance of the intuitive level of the application of 87%, a level of accessibility to the application of 96%; and a global acceptance level of the application corresponding to 81%.
