Occlusion is established as a result of interaction of genetic and enviroments with individual variations of each subject, it is important to know the characteristics of the deciduous dentition of a given population to prevent and interrupt future moloclusiones. OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this research was to determine the prevalence of occlusion characteristics in preschool of 5 years of age. RESULTS: Evaluating the terminal plans, a greater frequency of the right molar terminal is reported (59.6% right 62.0% left), a molar terminal plan is reported mesila step (34.7% right 30.0% left), also terminal plane mesial (2.4% right 4.0% left) and finally terminal plane distal step (3.4% right 4.0% left).In canine class I relationship (72.4% right 72.7% left); canine class II relation (8.1% right 18.9% left) canine class III relation (19.2% right 8.4% left). In median line, was founded that 69.4% asymmetrical median line and 25.3% asymmetrical median line. Type arch of top maxillary the 92.9% reported type arch I and 7.1% type arch II, above maxillary 72.1% type arch I and 27.9% type arch II. In development spaces the top maxillary 87.9% reported the existence of primates spaces and 12.1% absence, in the above maxillary 33.7% reported the existence of primates spaces and the 66.3% absence In compensatory spaces the top maxillary 80.5% and 19.5% don’t exist, in the above maxillary 70.7% reported the existence of compensatories and the 29.3% don’t exist. In the Overjet, the 76.8% are normal and 21.2% are unusual. In the Overbite, the 63.3% are normal and 53.7% are unusual.
