Abstract: La presente investigación descriptiva cualitativa tuvo como finalidad analizar el cuidado
espiritual desde el proceso Caritas en enfermeras del Hospital Distrital Vista Alegre. La
muestra estuvo conformada por 21 licenciadas de enfermería que cumplen con los criterios
de selección. Se aplicó una entrevista semiestructurada cuyos discursos obtenidos fueron
transcritos para poder obtener la categorización. Los datos fueron codificados y analizados
en tres etapas: reducción de datos, análisis descriptivo e interpretación, originando las
siguientes categorías. La primera categoría: Bases del proceso caritas, contiene dos
subcategorías: Concepción del cuidado espiritual y el Respeto por las creencias y valores.
La segunda categoría: Prácticas del cuidado espiritual con dos subcategorías: Relación de
ayuda-confianza y las Prácticas de amor y bondad. Los hallazgos revelan que el cuidado
espiritual es un proceso flexible y personal, basado en las características de los profesionales
de enfermería, los sujetos de cuidado y el entorno. El respeto por las creencias ayuda a la
enfermera a mejorar la interacción con el paciente aliviando sus dolencias. Las prácticas de
amor-bondad, la compasión y la ecuanimidad están vinculadas con el proceso caritas y las
resonancias del cuidado de Boff. Se concluye que los enfermeros ofrecen cuidado espiritual
al fortalecer la fe del paciente, demostrando un genuino interés en su bienestar, expresando
afecto y manteniendo una comunicación constante. Evidenciado en el tono tranquilizador,
pacífico y respetuoso de sus palabras como en sus acciones.
The purpose of this qualitative descriptive research was to analyze spiritual care from the Caritas process in nurses at the Vista Alegre District Hospital. The sample was made up of 21 nursing graduates who met the selection criteria. A semi-structured interview was applied, the speeches obtained were transcribed in order to obtain the categorization. The data were coded and analyzed in three stages: data reduction, descriptive analysis and interpretation, originating the following categories. The first category: Basis of the caritas process, contains two subcategories: Conception of spiritual care and Respect for beliefs and values. The second category: Spiritual care practices with two subcategories: Helptrust relationship and Practices of love and kindness. The findings reveal that spiritual care is a flexible and personal process, based on the characteristics of nursing professionals, care subjects and the environment. Respect for beliefs helps the nurse to improve interaction with the patient, alleviating their ailments. Practices of loving-kindness, compassion, and equanimity are linked to the caritas process and the resonances of Boff care. It is concluded that nurses offer spiritual care by strengthening the patient's faith, demonstrating a genuine interest in their well-being, expressing affection and maintaining constant communication. Evidenced in the calming, peaceful and respectful tone of his words as well as his actions.
