This research work was developed in the company Austral Group S.A.A., where the general objective of this thesis is to Implement an Occupational Health and Safety Management System to reduce accidents, taking as reference the ISO 45001:2018 Standard and the Peruvian regulations. current safety and health at work, among the most important is the new Law 29783 “Law on Safety and Health at Work”. Firstly, a situational diagnosis of the occupational health and safety management system was carried out, using the Checklist under the requirements of the ISO 45001:2018 standard, finding a general compliance of 49%, having 17 serious accidents and with 145 significant risks (119 medium and 26 high); Next, the Occupational Health and Safety Management System was implemented, of the Non-Conformities found on the list, which were established in the IPERC matrix, executing the OHS manual, procedures, formats, contingency manual and training; establishing control measures with the participation of workers, obtaining very satisfactory results, since the Checklist under the requirements of the ISO 45001:2018 standard had 99% compliance, ultimately having 2 serious accidents and reducing the number of accidents to 46. significant risks (46 medium and 0 high), that is, there was a reduction of 68% and one of the achievements is not having high risks.
