ABSTRACT The present research work was carried out in the fields of the farmers of Pueblo Nuevo who planted rice, in the campaigns 2015-2016, 2016 - 2017 and 2017-2018. The objective was to determine the chemical control of Tagosodes orizicolus Muir in the cultivation of Oryza sativa L. The sample was obtained from 30% of a population of 50 farmers. The evaluated variables were dose, frequency, mixture, efficiency of the products, cost of insecticides, production costs, yield, among other variables. It is concluded that the farmers of Pueblo Nuevo, in the three mentioned campaigns used thiamethoxam (100-120 g.ha-1), clothianidin + delthamethrin, (250-300ml.ha-1), fenpropathrin (150-200 ml.ha-1) ), dimethoate, (400-500 ml.ha-1), thiamethoxam + lambdacyhalotrin (300-400 ml ha-1), imidacloprid (400-500 ml.ha-1), imidacloprid + bifenthrin, (300-400 ml) .ha-1); the active ingredient thiamethoxan had at least better control effectiveness against Tagosodes orizicolus Muir. The doses of active ingredient were increased, due to climatic conditions and relative humidity the insect called Tagosodes orizicolus Muir, proliferated at high temperatures.
