Abstract The good management of irrigation is of vital importance to achieve a good production, in the Company EL PEDREGAL S.A. The cultivation of avocado (Persea americana) is managed under the drip irrigation system, by which we can obtain great efficiency in the use of water resources, using technology and being friendly to the environment, for this the determination of the water needs of the crop, taking samples of water and soil, which are evaluated in the laboratories, from these we can know what quality of water we have and also the characterization of the soil. The readings of the drippers and the valves are carried out to evaluate the coefficient of uniformity of the batches, it is very important to take into account all the information obtained in order to make decisions and be efficient. We must consider that for the evaluation of irrigation uniformity we can take a reading from field drippers, and in this way be able to carry out the calculations and obtain the percentage of uniformity coefficient. Finally, having all the data, it is possible to calculate the water needs for sector 1, which is 13029.77 m3/ha.
