The main objective of this research work is to determine the relationship between motivation and work performance in workers in the gastronomic sector in pollerias in the district of Comas. The methodological approach of the research is quantitative, surveys were applied to collect data in a sample of 384 workers. The scope is correlational since the degree of relationship between the motivation variable and performance is evaluated, and it is non-experimental in design. of a cross-correlational type, since the variables were not manipulated, they were only observed. Motivation and performance are key factors for companies, since the level of service that their collaborators show when performing their duties in front of diners depends on it. It is considered important to raise awareness among chicken shop owners and restaurant managers in the gastronomic sector so that in the future they can use the tools and improve the environment in their businesses. For this reason, use was made of the main theories of motivation and performance, such as Maslow's pyramid, Herzberg's two-factor theory, and Victor Vroom's expectancy theory. Finally, after the analysis carried out in this research, it was concluded that extrinsic and intrinsic factors have a high relationship with the work performance of workers in the chicken shops of the Comas district.
