This study was conducted with the aim of analyzing the association between organizational climate and emotional intelligence among workers in a municipality in Metropolitan Lima. The design of the study was non-experimental, cross-sectional, correlational, and basic in nature. A group of 291 employees from a municipality in Lima was selected, and the Ministry of Health's Organizational Climate Questionnaire and the Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire (TMMS-24) were applied. The results indicated that 64.9% of the respondents reported a favorable organizational climate, while the majority (45.4%) showed a high level of emotional intelligence. Furthermore, a significant positive and moderate correlation was found between organizational climate and emotional intelligence (rho = 0.69; p < 0.05). Similarly, the organizational climate correlated with emotional attention (rho = 0.48; p < 0.05), emotional clarity (rho = 0.71; p < 0.05), and emotional regulation (rho = 0.69; p < 0.05). The conclusion drawn from the study is that if employees in a municipality in Lima enhance their emotional intelligence, the organizational climate will become more favorable.
