enfoque dual (cognitivo-conductual o afectivo-conductual).
Introduction: Mindfulness is a relatively new concept that, since its introduction to the West, has captivated the scientific community due to its wide range of benefits. Currently, its practice extends to all types of populations without a defined age range, with a special emphasis on preschool education as a new paradigm of innovation in education, promising excellent results in the improvement of affective, cognitive, behavioral, and social skills in children. Objective: To analyze the effectiveness of mindfulness-based interventions on the cognitive, affective, and behavioral capacities of preschool-aged children. Methodology: The search took place in the Pubmed and Scopus databases. Article selection was carried out in Rayyan based on the PRISMA method. Subsequently, methodological quality assessment was done using the Rob 2 and GRADEpro tools, alongside a critical reading analysis. Finally, data extraction was done using Excel 2019. Seven trials were chosen for the review. Results and Conclusions: Mindfulness-based interventions have been shown to be effective in improving the cognitive-affective-behavioral abilities of preschool-aged children. However, the poor quality of clinical trials, the low quality of evidence, heterogeneity, lack of consensus, and inconsistent measurement methods prevent a recommendation for the implementation of programs in child populations. Additionally, all the trials reviewed evaluated their results from a dual approach (cognitive-behavioral or affective-behavioral).
