The present study evaluated the strength of a concrete mix with f’c = 210 kg/cm² by fully replacing potable water with treated wastewater from the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) in Tacna. After conducting water quality tests on the WWTP water and the respective tests on fine and coarse aggregates, both a control concrete mix (using potable water) and a treated wastewater mix (WWTP water) were designed. Compressive strength tests were then conducted at ages of 7, 14, and 21 days, and a flexural strength test was conducted at 21 days to assess performance in columns and beams. The results show that the concrete made with treated wastewater achieved a maximum compressive strength of 223 kg/cm² at 14 days, while the control concrete reached 174 kg/cm² at the same age. Additionally, the flexural strength of the concrete with treated wastewater and the control concrete was 44.2 kg/cm² and 31.2 kg/cm², respectively. In conclusion, the findings confirm that concrete made with treated wastewater is a viable and sustainable option, providing significant savings without compromising quality.
