Vehicle congestion is one of the most relevant problems in the world today, this is due to the increase in vehicle circulation. Which has caused delays in production and delays in the mobilization of users. Therefore, the purpose of this proposal is to redesign the Santa Anita oval to reduce travel times of the public transportation system, which daily presents great vehicular congestion, long travel times and different conflicts. All this through a micro simulation model calibrated and validated in the Vissim software using parameters in accordance with the reality of the area. This model will help us represent the current state and proposed improvements at the Santa Anita Oval. In reference to this study, it was found that the redesign was beneficial, since times were reduced by 21.58% for all vehicles on the oval; for public transport by 35.07%. In addition, queue lengths decreased by 15.23% and the service level from F to D. Finally, a comparative analysis of travel times and conflicts of the current state and proposal for improvement in the Santa Anita Oval was carried out. Concluding that the general objective of the research was achieved, carrying out a redesign in the Santa Anita Oval to reduce public transportation travel times, following the NACTO guidelines and the country's urban road design manual
