Adolescent pregnancy has been considered a high-risk pregnancy since it supposedly experiences a higher incidence of complications during pregnancy, childbirth and the puerperium, as well as a higher possibility of complications for the newborn. Objective To determine the obstetric and perinatal complications of pregnant adolescents treated at Hospital III Iquitos-EsSalud, 2020. Methodology The research was non-experimental, descriptive, cross-sectional and retrospective, with a population of 160 adolescent pregnant women and a sample size of 113 adolescent pregnant women who met the selection criteria, which was calculated using the proportions formula. finite. Results The sociodemographic characteristics found were; ages between 14 to 16 years (55.8%), followed by Urbanomarginal origin (79.6%) and secondary education level (56.6%). Among the obstetric characteristics with the greatest tendency were; those who did not have a history of abortion (98.2%), primiparas (90.3%), gestational age between 37 to 41 weeks (81.4%), as well as those who were not controlled in their prenatal care (40.7%) and with type xi of delivery by Caesarean section (68.1%). The main obstetric complications found were; Preeclampsia (26.5%), premature rupture of membranes (22.5%), threat of preterm birth (18.4%), urinary tract infection (12.2%) and to a lesser extent the threat of abortion (8.2%), eclampsia (6.1%) and anemia (6.1%). Among the perinatal complications were; Low birth weight (30.2%), Prematurity (20.8%), Intrauterine growth retardation (20.8%), Jaundice (17.7%), and to a lesser extent Respiratory distress (8.3%), Neonatal Sepsis (1.1%) and Death fetal (1.1%). Conclusion Age (X2 = 0.396; p = 0.820), Origin (X2 = 5.964; p = 0.051), educational level (X2 = 6.556; p = 0.087) History of abortion (X2 = 2.385; p = 0.122), Number of gestation (X2 = 2.074; p = 0.150), gestational age (X2 = 0.398; p = 0.820) and type of delivery (X2 = 2.734; p = 0.098) are not statistically associated with obstetric complications in pregnant adolescents, however, Statistical relationship with prenatal care was found (X2 = 5.374; p = 0.020). Age (X2 = 0.396; p = 0.820), Degree of education (X2 = 2.194; p = 0.533), History of abortion (X2 = 1.947; p = 0.163), Pregnancy number (X2 = 0.094; p = 0.759) and gestational age (X2 = 2.152; p = 0.341) is not statistically related to perinatal complications in adolescent pregnant women; However, there is a relationship with Origin (X2 = 8.809; p = 0.012), Prenatal care (X2 = 4.409; p = 0.036) and Type of delivery (X2 = 6.220; p = 0.013).
