Miedo dental y su relación con la ansiedad en pacientes atendidos en el hospital Iquitos “César Garayar García” 2023

Abstract

Objetivo: Establecer la relación entre la ansiedad y miedo dental de los pacientes tratados en el departamento de odontoestomatología del Hospital Iquitos “César Garayar García”, 2023. Materiales y Métodos: La investigación descriptiva, prospectiva analítica, diseño no experimental transversal, descriptivo correlacional, la población conformada por 5,054 pacientes atendidos en el Hospital Iquitos “César Garayar García”, la muestra fue de 357 pacientes. Técnica la encuesta. Instrumento: Cuestionario. Resultados: El miedo dental fue medio en 74,5%; elevado 20,2% y nulo en 5,3% y la ansiedad dental fue severa en 36,4%; moderada 24,9%; leve o nula 23,8% y elevada en 14,8%. Conclusiones: Existe relación entre la ansiedad y miedo dental de los pacientes tratados en el departamento de odontoestomatología del Hospital Iquitos “César Garayar García” (X2C= 18,172; gl= 6; p=0,006),
